Elk Creek Elementary School has an opening for a part time significant needs preschool paraprofessional for the 2017-2018 school year. Candidates must have strong desire to work with children ages 2.5 to 5.  Job duties include but not limited to:  assisting the teacher with the routine of the day, guiding children through the routine of the day, interacting with students and parents, working one on one with student, taking anecdotal records of child development, and preparing the learning environment under teacher direction. 

Other duties may include:

Assisting students with feeding, including breakfast and lunch

Toileting with students (diapers, prompting for toilet usage)

Working with agressive behaviors (training provided)

Working in various working environments, including one-on-one with students with significant needs, to working with groups of students in a classroom setting.

This is a part time position at 16 hours per week.

Requirements: 

High School Diploma/G.E.D. 

Must be able to pass a CDHS background check.
