CLICK HERE for the complete job description Support Services is comprised of the following departments: Maintenance, Custodial, Grounds and Facility use. These departments continually perform maintanence and upkeep of the buildings and grounds of all the schools and school district properties. The facilities of Garfield School District Re-2 encompass 913,517 square feet of learning and support spaces, occupying 231 acres that support the communities of Rifle, Silt and New Castle. The buildings range in size from 12,000 to 147,000 square feet and in age from 1926 to 2009. GSD Re-2 facilities were rated in the top 3 percentile when evaluated during the 2008 statewide BEST evaluation. We strive for Energy Conservation and work on Capital Construction.
