Come join our Special Education Team! The Special Education team is seeking a full-time, Special Education Operations Director for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic school year. Garfield School District Re-2 proudly supports a four day student week!

Position Summary:  The position of Special Education Operations Director is responsible for implementing and maintaining Special Education programs and services in conformance to District, State and Federal objectives; providing written support and/or conveying information; serving as a resource to patrons, school personnel and the Board; and maintaining adequate staffing to ensure objectives of programs and services are achieved within budget.. Special Education services occur in 10 schools (6 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and 2 high schools). 

The Special Education Director of Operations is an important member of the District Senior Leadership Team and also works collaboratively with the BOCES to implement and maintain Special Education programs and services.

Salary Range: 

In District Expierence: $96,306-$151,865

Out of District Expierence: $96,306- $115,095
